What do I want to do? The answer was easy since I've wanted to do it since first grade, become a doctor. I said this knowing that it would be impossible to pursue. I couldn't just attend night classes to go into medicine, that would much too long and I doubt I could do that well without being able to focus on studying since I would more than likely still be working. We simply couldn't afford having me go to school full time.
A little background, when I first went to college, my father talked me out of going into medicine. My father of course has no recollection of this conversation. He has worked as a CRNA for most of his life and was pretty disenfranchised with the industry at the time. Not sure if I could afford anything beyond a bachelors since I was paying for everything, I instead went into Information Technology and Sound Recording Technology as a double major (my other two loves).
Flash forward back to the conversation with my wife, Cindy. Instead of receiving the answer of there's no way you can do that, she instead replied, "Let me see if I can make this work". I was stunned. I had over the years looked into what it would take to go into the medical field. At the least, I would have to go back to college for a bachelors because my previous degree paths counted very little for any medical school requirements. But what path should I take?
